You love the company of Your multitude of devotees!
You mount and drive the dancing peacock as Your vehicle, Oh GuhA!
Your devotees in all four directions, namely, East, West, South and North,
exclaim saying that this Thiruppugazh (Songs of Glory) is excellent!
This Thiruppugazh is beautiful, poetic and sung with immense sound; and
You made me sing these songs at least to a certain extent and helped to spread them in this world.
I can never forget Your grace of granting me Your vision in these songs!
Making the squeaking parrots tired and driving them away,
VaLLi was flinging stones from a string in the millet-field guarded by her.
You embraced the beautiful neck of that damsel of KuRavas with all Your twelve shoulders!
SivA, who placed ParAsakthi fittingly on His left side,
is Your Father; and He was exhilirated
when You preached to Him the essence of VEdAs and their Cosmic principles.
You reside in ThiruchchengkOdu (which is known as NAgamalai* - The Serpent Mount) and You are worshipped by the DEvAs, Oh Great One!
